Witness told him he was being removed simply because ho had been long enough in Picton. lie knew at the time that correspondence was being received by another department about the disfranchisement of certain elector , but that had nothing to do with the transfer.

Sir K. Stout produced a letter from Mr Mills to the Hon. Mr Carroll slating the names of those omitted from the roll prepared by Jeffries. The case was adjourned.
