Stoddart’s Team v. Combined N.S.W. and Queensland.
By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Pkk Press Association. Brisbane, November 26. The cricket match between the English Eleven and the combined Queensland ami Now South Wales team began to-day. The weather was fine, and there was a large attendance. The Englishmen won the toss and decided to bat. Storer and ilcuruc stood out of the visiting team. The wicket was fast and the scoring rapid, the Englishmen giving a line display of batting, and they had knocked up runs for the loss of three wickets when stumps were drawn. The scorers wore : Wainwright, 117 ; Mason, 71 ; MeLuren, not out, 61 ; Kanjitsinhji, 67 ; Bruce, not out, lid ; llayward, 115 ; extras, 17. McKihbin see ured tlnve wickets. Tumor came in for a lot of punishment.

Tho Englishmen are all -*ut for 6116: McLaren INI, Hirst notout, 75, Bruce 126. The combined team had lost two wickets for ltd when stumps were drawn. Bowling analysis: McKihbin five for 15S, Byrne three for 122, Turner 1 for H(J.
The English display was very line. McLaren butted for six and a half hours and hit 20 fourers, Bruce also gave a line display, an l was vigorous all rouud thy^wket.
