Tho School Committee mot for business last Monday evening, and owing to the continued illness of Mr llorton, Mr George Turner was voted to the chair pro. tern. Tho principal matter under consideration was the claim of the owner of the promises lately occupied for school purposes on account of damages done to tho fence, etc. Two of the Committee made a survey of it, and formed an cstimato of cost of repair, which will bo forwarded to the Board, together with owner’s claim. There were three tondors for cleaning the schoolhouse, that of Mrs 11. Moore being accepted.
