THE RUSH FOR LAND.
By Telegraph—Per Press Association. Kaikoura, September 28. Theue is a great rush for Kaikoura land. As many as 490 applications have been received for 22 sections—--250 for 12 first and second-class holdings, and 216 for 10 small grazing runs. The applications came from the whole length of the colony. The ballot will take place place to-day.
