The Averages of Stoddart's Team. Trott Heads the English Bowling. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Per Press Association. London, September 17. Following are the hatting averages of the members of Stoddart’s team, which have been compiled in connection with first-class matches in English cricket in tho season just closed :—Ford, first, with 63 runs per innings; Druce ami McLaren, second and third respectively, with 51 each; Ranjitsinhji, fifth, 45; Abel, sixth, 44; Hayward, 38; Wainwright, Hirst and Mason, 35 each ; Stoddart, 80; Storer, 27 ; Board, 22 ; Briggs, 17 ; Hearuo, 18 ; Richardson, 11.
Bowling Analysis :—A. E. Trott. first, with 50 wickets, at a cost of 18J por wicket; Richardson, third, with 273 wickets for 14 J runs. Briggs’ average is 101 ; Hear no’s, 17J ; Hayward’s 18 , Masons, 22( ; Mainwright and Hirst’s 23 each. [ According to this message Ford and Abel are included in the team. Thou names had not previously been sent out as liiembors of the team. As it now stands Mr Stoddart's combination is mldoubtodly the finest that has over left England.J
