First race to start at 12.30. PROGRAMME—1. Maiden Steeplechase, w.f.a., £7; second horse £2 from the stakes. Open only to all horses that have followed a recognised pack of hounds this season ; 2 miles ; entrance 78 2. Handicap Hack Flat Race, £10; second horse £2 from the stakes. For all horses that have never won a race of £4O or over; 1 mile ; entrance 10s, acceptance nil. 3. Handicap Hurdle Race, £10; second horse £2 from the stakes. For all horses that have never won a hurdle race of £4O or over; 1£ miles, over 6 flights of hurdles; entrance 10s, acceptance nil. 4. Woodlands Hunt Club Cup, Handicap Steeplechase, £10; second horse £2 from the stake. Open to all bona fide hunters, season 1897. Minimum weight, list 71b; 2£ miles ; entrance 10s, acceptance nil. 5. Hunters’ Handicap Flat Race, £5 ; second horse £1 from the etake. Open to all bona fide hunters, season 1897; 1$ miles; entrance ss, acceptance nil. 6. Dannevirke Handicap Steeplechase, £lO to winner. Open to all bona fide hunters, season 1897 ; 2 miles; entrance 10s, acceptance nil. 7. Ladies’ Bracelet Handicap, £8; second horse £2 from the stake. Open only to horses that have followed the Woodlands Hunt Club hounds this season. (All horses to be nominated by ladies). Minimum weight list; gentlemen riders only ; 2 miles on the flat; entrance 8s; acceptance nil. CONDITIONS. 1. That all disputes arising from tho racing shall be decided by the stewards, their decision in all cases to be final. 2. For races Nos. 1,4, 5, G and 7 master’s certificate must be produced at scales. Gentlemen riders allowed 71b. 3. Gentlemen riders must produce their certificates at the scales. 4. All subscriptions must be paid before starting horses. 5. Races Nos. 1,4, 5, 6 and 7 are only open to bona fide hunters for the season 1897. 6. No Bookmaker will be allowed on tho course except by producing a written permit from the Secretary. 7. No rider will be allowed to weigh out unless attired in proper riding ! costume. 8. Colors of riders to be sent in with ! entrance fee, pedigree and performance of horse (if any). Upon any infringement of this rule a tine of £1 will be imposed. 9. No entry will be handicapped unless accompanied by the necessary entrance money. 10. Entries for all events to be in the hands of the Hon. Sec. at Dannevirke by 9 am. on MONDAY, 20th of September, 1897. Handicaps will be declared on September 22nd, 1897. All stakes paid in full. Prices of Admission to Course—Foot passengers, Is; carriages, 2s 6d; horsemen 2s. To Grand-stand and Lawn—Gents, 5s ladies, 2s Gd.
