Down Oaumru way the farmer* Mowed their winter wheat and it never came away owing to the drought, and the held* had to be ploughed up and renown. A *ea*en like this ia not within the memory of anyono here. I tell you iti* getting Heriou*. Nor in that all, for the people * health i* being affected, due, l auppose, to no rain having fallen to purify the air. A considerable number of people huvo died in Dunedin, and the doctor* arc kept very bu*y both in town and country."
