MO.srs Reid and Kingston arrived bp the Aiiowera iu excellent health. The Government steamer Thetis containing members of the Ministry and Parliament, leading citizens and Mrs Reid met the Miutveru at the heads and were enthusiastically welcomed. Mr Reid made a congratulatory speech to a large crowd on the wharf amid much cheering. The publio reception takes place tomorrow. Melbourne, August 81. Mr Seddon's party lias arrived overland from Adelaide. On tbe arrival of the Oroya at Adelaide they were cordially welcomed by the Acting - Premier, several Ministers and many influential citizens. At Ballarat this morning they were met by tbe Mayor, Alderman, Chairman of Committees, members of the district and representatives of the Miners’ Association. The Mayor welcomed them on behalf of the citizens. At Melbourne they were welcomed by tbe Minister of Works, Commissioner of Railways and other public man, together with a large number of New Zealanders. Iu the afternoon Premier Turner entertained them at luncheon. Subsequently Mr Seddon, as representative of New Zealand, attended the intercolonial conference of Ministers of agriculture to discuss the fruitgrowing, packing, exporting and freights of the industry. In the absence of the New South Wales representative they adjourned after a short sitting, and will meet again in Sydney on Saturday.
