STOCK REPORT. Messrs Abraham and Williams report :—Business has been thoroughly disorganised during the past week, and we have not much to chronicle. At Pahiatua on Monday only a portion of the stock came forward. There were but few people there, and only one or two smaller sales were effected. At Palmerston yesterday we had a small entry of sheep. The attendance was limited. Stores wethers of good quality held their own, and were perhaps rather better. Fat sheep were not so lively, and other sorts were on a par with recent sales. We quote—Forward Lincoln wethers, 10s Gd (refused); 4-tooth wethers, 9s Id ; fat ewes, 8s lOd ; aged ewes in lamb, 4s Gd to 7s; cull half-bred wethers, 8s Id ; ewes, 2s 8d ; 2-tooth ewes (empty), 7s ; store ewes, 4s lOds to 5s ; 8-year bullocks, £8 8s Gd; dairy cows, £4 to £5 ss; weaners, 88s Gd; good quality porkers, 19s to 20s. Wqol and Skin Sales. Messrs Levin and Co., Limited, report that they held their usual wool and skin sale on Friday. 25th June. The buyers competed well for all lots offered, but there is no chango in values to report. Crutchings brought up to 4 jd, and skins to 5d ; but there were no prime lots catalogued. The prico of skins suffered somewhat, owing to the dampnoss of many, it being difficult to dry them thoroughly at this time of the year. Our next sale will be hold on 9th July. We quoto : —Crutchings, BJd to 4d for fair parcels, and 4Jd to lid for primo lot. Skins, primo, s)d to 5Jd ; medium, 4ldto 5d ; short-woollod, .BAd to 4)d ; dead, 8| to 4d. Wellington, 25th June, 1857. Murray, Roberts and Co. report as follows : At to-cay s sales wo catalogued 20 bales of wool and over 1000 sheopskins of all elassos. Wo tiro pleased to report that a satisfactory domand for skins still ccntinuos, and wo have no chango to adviso in recent values. Owing to disappointing roturns from London May salos, bidding for oddments of wool was hardly ho spirited as at our previous sale, with the result that stragglers’ lloeces, as well as heavy and faulty crutchings, were |d por lb lower. On the other hand well-picked, bright crutchings were very lirra, any alterations being in the sellers' favor. Wo are pleased to note that farmers are taking advantage of those sales, and tho quantity of skins now coming forward for local salo shows a considerable increase. The rango of prices at to-day's salo was as follows: Skins.—Well saved half to threequarter woollod crossbreds, 4Jd to 5d per lb. ; inferior poltod ditto, and woolly hoggets, B£d to 4sd; shortwoollod pelts, Is to Is 9d oaoli ; bare ditto., Gd to 9d ; half to three-quarter woolled morinos, BJd to Id por lb. Wool.—Crutchings, Bj'd to 4d ; clean, woll-picked, 4}d, and up to I Jd for vory primo ; stragglers’ floeco, 5d to Gd ; locks and pieces, 2Jd to BJd. Wellington, 26th June, 1897,
