The school children’s annual picnic will be held on Thursday next. About £lO worth of prizes will be distributed amongst the scholars. Tho prizes were purchased from Mr F. G. Moore, of tho premier book shop, Pahiatua. The committee speak in high terms of the large and varied stock and also of the remarkably low prices. All parents and friends are cordially invited to bo prosent at the picnic, which is usually looked upon as the settlers’ annual outing. 1 am told that the newly-appointed Domain Board held their first meeting on Wednesday evening last. I have not yet heard where it was held.
