No entry will bo received for any race except upon this condition—That ail disputos, claims and objections shall be decided by a majority of Stewards, or thoee they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. 2. All races upon this programme are open to “ Hacks” only, 3. “Hacks" shall mean horses that have never won an advertised race exceeding tlu* value of 40 sovs at time of start (Hack and Hunter races excepted), and that are pot nominated for a Derby, Guineas, St. Leger, or Sapling Stakes at time of start.

All entries to bo .scaled and addressed to the Secretary at Paliiatna, entrantk money enclosed, with name, ago at time of entry, pedigree and performances of horse, name of owner, and colors of the rider. Any Jockey riding except in the colors entered will be find govs. f>. When two or more horses start, the property of same owner, a distinguishing color must bo worn.

»>. All persons intending to withdraw horses arc required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales one half-hour before the advertised time of starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rulo shall pay a fine, of 5 sovs to the race fund. 7. All races to he run under the rules of the Now Zealand ltulcs of Pacing. H. Horses which have won a race of the advertised value of‘2o sovs or over after tho declaration of weights to carry a penalty of Gibs; of 45 sovs or over, a penalty of lOlhs. 10.
