Count Yamagata’B troops have occupied Langhtty and Liadyang, within 40 miles •f Moukden. Li Hung Chang has gone to Pekin. It is reported at Pekin that Nankin and another port in the island of Hainan are to be opened to foreign trade. It is reported that chaos reigns in Pekin and the United States Legation there has been threatened. Tokio, December 1. Japan has bought the Chilian cruiser ■smerelda.
