Messrs Abraham and Williams' Saleyards.
Messrs Abraham and Williams have had some extensive alterations and additions made to their yards on the Mangahao road. There are 15 new cattle pen>. and eight sheep pens. The arrangements are completed with a view to studying the convenience of buyers. The pens are now separated by races. thus enabling a buyer to take delivery of the stock and leave at once. Previously he had to wait till the completion of tho sale, thereby losing a groat deal of time. Thn new yards have all been paved with large stones, and well drained. Hie Pahiatua yards can safely be »aid lo be the best the firm have. The work was entrusted to Mr Watts, contractor, of Fielding, who has made a first-class job of it.
