(Per Pros* Association.) By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Sydnky, November 12. The natives en Pentecost and Taana Islands, New Hebrides, are killing each other as fast a* opportunity occurs. One village in Pentecost revolted against its chief, killing him and his household, then attacked a neighboring village, slaughtered half the community, and ate a number of the victims. On Espiritu Santo several natives who had got fat on plantations in Fiji were killed and eaten within a week of their return home. A volcano on Ambry*—the island where Dr Lamb, of the New Zealand Presbyterian Mission, has labored for years past—burst into eruption, and the lava set fire to native huts. Seme of the natives were killed, but it is believed the fatalities are not heavy. The ember* foil within a radius of 10 miles. Sydnky, This Day. An official report states that H.M.S. Dart removed 83 Natives from the vicinity of tho volcano at Ambryn Island, most of them belonging to Dr Lamb's Mission Station. They were conveyed to a place comparatively safe at Ration, and afterwards taken back to I Appoint, when the danger had passed away. A great portion of i'ioclitl at Dippoint lias fallen into the A i reneh trader has removed his belonging to Port Sandwich.
