The Corean War.
By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Per Press Association. Tokio, October 25. The Japanese operating in Northern Corea have crossed the Yalu. London, Oetober 26. Two companies of artillery are embarking at Portsmouth to reinforee the troops in Hongkong. Received 11 a.m. Shanghai, October 28. The 16,000 of the Chinese troops at Kulien Chan were utterly routed and fled with the Japanese in hot pursuit. The defeated force is retreating in the direction of Antung. at the mouth of the Yalu river. The Japs, in addition to war materials and provisions, captured 80 guns. . „
It is reported that the Japanese have suffered severely in attempting to repress the rebellions in the Tonglak force which is marching on Seoul.
