Per Press Association. Hokitika, This Day. A boat containing two men capsized near the bar owing to the sail jibing. The occupants are supposed to be John McDonald, aged fio, and his son Ronald, aged 16. A search is being made for the There were four men in the boat. All were drowned. Two bodies, those of McDonald, senr.. and Kcnnard, were recovered yesterday on the beach five miles north. There are no signs as yet of voting McDonald and the fourth man Graham. Wellington, This DayTint Commissioner of Police received a telegram last night stating that a miner named John McKenzie was shot dead by a man at Bannockburn about five miles from Cromwell at n a.m. on Saturday. It is believed the deed was committed by another miner named Archie Blue. The liodv was found in Blue's hut, and also a gun with which it is supposed the nun-drr was committed. The dead body ot Blue was afterwards found in a tunnel ut some old gold workings not far from tin- scene of the tragedy. There is some doubt whether the police haw captured the right Delaney. The man who is n allv wanted is said to have gone to Auckland in the Dingadee. The police here believe it is his brother who is now on his way to Wellington.
