Public Meeting at Mangatainoka.

(From our own correspondent.) A public meeting, convened by Caption Richardson at the instigation of Mr F V. Ilnggen, was held in Mr Wugstaff s hi ck building, Mangatainoka,, last evenin ~ Seventeen were present. Mr A. Mr R. Marsh asked if anything had come of the previous meeting re leases in : perpetuity. Tho Chairman stated that Mr Helps had received a letter, which was less explicit than previous ones. Mr Marsh urged that something he done at once. He moved that Mr C. II ill, M.H.U., bo asked if the Hon. the Minister for Lauds would he up to the banquet in honor of Mr A. W. Hogg. If so, tnai a committee consisting of Messrs Helps, Lundou, Cade, T. J.
