Mastbrtom, This Bay. A man named Thomas Halsall was charged at the Court to day with false pretenses it is alleged accused told Heveral business people he had come in fo» a iegaey of £IO,OOO, on the strength of whieh he had made engagements for a house furniture, etc., to a considerable amount. He got £5 from one person. The case was remanded till Friday.
