The Ferniehurst Road.
By Telegraph—Own Correspondent. Wellington, Thi« Day.
Tenders are again to be invited for fencing the proposed road through Ferniehurst. The road is aheut four miles in length; the fenos is estimated to oost about £4OO, and it is represented that owing to tile gullies and swamps the road when feneed will be impassable, and settlers who can now reach their homestead will be unable to do so. Owing to inadequate advertising and the peculiar nature of the specification no tender for this work was received on a previeus occasion.
