(By Telegraph.) Wellington, This Day. T. Ingles Husband, of tho Pioneer Small Farm Settlement. Eketahuna, accompanied by Vlr Hogg, waited on the Minuter of Lauda with a petition from a number of settlers who had taken up for tailed sections and who require an extension of the Mangatakato road id order to get access for purposes of bushfelling. The petitioners ottered to extend the road a hundred chains and make a good dray road provided they were subsidised to the amount paid for forming eight foot tracks in tho locality, namely 90s per chain. I ho Minister, while favo. ably entertaining the proposal, referred the deputation to the Under Secretary, who was interviewed yesterday morning.
