Independent Order of Rechabites.
Tent Pahiatua
A meeting to complete the formation of a local tent of the Independent Order of Rechabites was held in the Town Ilall on Friday evening. Bro Itowo Fennell, of Woodville, presided. It was docided that the Tent should bo called “ The Pahiatua Tent,” and that meetings should be held every alternate Tuesday at the Town Hall. The first meeting was fixed for July 3rd and the formal opening for July 17th. The following officers were then elected: — C.R., Bro J. Vile; D.R., Bro Adams; secretary, Bro Knewstubb; treasurer, Bro Reeve ; Stewards, Sisters Knewstubb and Madden; Levito, Bro Hurley; Guardian, Bro Shut* ; trustees, Bro Griffith, Vile and Adams. Sisters Knewstubb, Madden and Forssnaan and Bros Knewstubb and Madden were appointed a committee to arrange for formal opening.
