Wellington Land Board.
The regular meeting of the Wellington Land Board was held on Thursday.

The following applications to sublet were approved ;—L. A. Schcw to L. P. and C. Lars- n. L. E: Mobutu to M. Roberts and E. Flutey. B. Flmn to F. W. Smith. D. R. Lewers to W. Bramlev. J. Andenon to H. Collier.
The following transfers were approve : A. W. Sedeole to T. Nelson. Paketoi . H. Scott to himself and A. and H. Scott jar; I’uketoi: J. Watson to T. Nestor Makar:. Etta Bros, to W. F. Smith. Makur. ; T. B. Birkett to N. F. and N. Willoughby. Makuri : T. A. Palmer to W. A. Cockm. Makuri: W. W. McCardle (Makuni.ibe Board has yet to be satisfied tha: »ifficient improvements have beer, effected.
W. J. Turner, section 18, Block IX., Mangahao. was granted six months ex tension of time to pay instalments. The report of the ranger on section 4. Block IV., Mangahao. was considered, the chief poiut being that the residence condition ..ad not t>e«a complied with by W. L. Adams, and that A. F Phillipeon. selector cf the adjoining section, was the reai occupier. It was decided te make furtuer inquiries into the matter.
The Board decided that thirds must be paid for leases in perpetuity granted to village settlers.
It was decided, oa the motion of Mr Firani, seconded by Mr Hogg, to aak the Minister of Lands to agree to state a case for the Supreme Court to ascertain
whether the Imnd Board or a Co minis sioeer alone has power to deal with vnlege settlements, special settlements, or amall farm homes wad
