The Premier has reeeived telegrams from the Premiers of Victoria and South Australia, approving of the action of the Government re Samoa. The former advises him to press for full control on the ground that islands in the Western Pacific ought to be under the control of the colonies, and promises to instruct the Agent-General to support, tho proposal. Grinding Body and Bones. Wellington, This Day. A case oame beforo the Benevolent Trustees of a man, wife, and family, found living in a fowl house, sleeping on a number of cases with only a blanket and sheet. They were paying 6s per week rent. False Pretences. Wellington, This day. The Labour Bureau intend to present the sailor, who it was alleged obtained employment under misrepresentation, being put on to work. It was intended to prosecute him for false pretences, but the Department are not certain what the charge will be.
