Messrs Abraham nn>l Williams report: At Pahiatua on Tuesday, the 17th inst., the entry was above the average, as regards quality and numbers, but still there was an unduly large proportion of what may be characterised as unprofitable stock. Two or three exceptionally good pens of ewes in lamb came forward, and a. very fair lot of lambs indeed were headed bv a pen sent by Messrs Quirk Bros., which excited the admiration of everyone. We quote: —Ewes in lamb, mixed ages 6s to 6s 7d ; others, 6s 10J to 4s; cull store ewes. Is 4d to 2s 4 I : two tooth wethers. 6* 8d to 7s 2d ; host lambs, 4s 7d : others, 2s to 2s 9d : fat heifers, X‘4 12s 6 1 ; 3-vr steers. £Z 10s ; 13 month steers, £2 10s; 2 yr steers, £3.
