Wreck of the Kiwi.
An Old Salt’s Loss
To day we received information from a private nourc# in Mnaterton that the steamer Kiwi, which has been trading between Wellington and the East (’oast stations for the last 20 years was wrecked near Castlcpoint yesterduv. No lives were lost. The vessel was commanded by Captain Campbell, who has traded on that coast for the last 35 years. We have received no word from the Pr* ss Association respecting the wreck, but the rumour was current in Masterton and Ekctahuna la*t night, and circumstantial account* wen given ot the causes and detail «.f th« wreck.
