An Old Masterton Identity
(By Telegraph.) (From our own Correspondent.) Masterton. Thu Day. Mr Farquhar Gray, one of Msstorton’s earliest and most successful settler* died thi* moruiug. Deceased formerly carried oi. biitdneas as a blacksmith and farrier, but on account of ill health rotirod to his farm at Waingawa six years ago whore he has gained a name for himself as one of the most successful breeders of prize stock. Ho was one of the moot highly respected men in the community, and as honest as the day is long. His demise casts a gl mm over the town. He leaves a wife and family to mourn their loss.
