PROPOSED LOANS. >T OTICE is hereby given that it is | the intention of the Pahiatua County Council, with the consent of the ratepayers interested, to raise the following loans under “ The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, IHK6 ” : Loan 41— Mangahao Bridge.— A Loan of One Thousand Pounds (to supplement grants from Government) for the Construction of an Ordinary Traffic Bridge across the Mangahao River at the Bridge Site at Sinclair’s Crossing, Block VII., Mangahao, and forming approaches thereto. Cost of engineering, raising loan, and clerical expenses, to be paid out of loan. To meet the interest and charges of the said loan it is proposed to strike a Special Rate of One Farthing in the Pound on the rateable value of the sections comprised within the following area —Bounded on the east by the Mangahao River ; on the north by the Manawatua River ; on the south by the boundary of the Woodville-Mangahao Special Settlement; and on the west by the Forest Reserve, excluding the block of land known as the Hall Special Settlement. A meeting of ratepayers interested will be held at Mr James Sinclair’s house on Saturday, November 18th, at 10 a.m.
