' T_ OTTCK is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Council held on 3rd October, 1893, a resolution passed on 25th September, 1898, was adopted by special order making and carrying a Special Rate of Threepence in the Pound to be made and levied over the whole of the rateable property within the Borough ; that the rate be an annually recurring rate for a period of Twenty-six Years, and that such rate be due and payable in one sum annually on the Ist day of November in each succeeding year for the, purpose of providing interest and principal on a loan of €I6OO proposed to be borrowed under “ The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” for the purpose of bridging the Mangatainoka River, And it is hereby further notified that a special meeting of the Council will be held on MON DAY', the 6th day of November, 1898, to confirm the above special order.
