FARMHOUSE TRAGEDY
CORRIGAN FURTHER REMANDED. WELLINGTON, April 5. Remanded from Eketahuna, John Dillon Corrigan, aged 23, a farm labourer, was charged at the Magistrate’s Court to-day with murdering his parents, and was further remanded till Wednesday week. The accused was not represented by counsel.
A lonely farmhouse near Mangamahoe was the scene early on March 28 of a double murder, the victims being John Corrigan, aged 64, and his wife, Ellen Corrigan, aged 57. Both were shot, and the son was arrested.
