PRODUCE MARKETS.

CHRISTCHURCH, August 28. The market conditions since the middle of the week show no change. The revival which was recorded early in the week in the potato market was of a transient nature, and values have slipped back to the rate ruling last week —namely, 355, f.0.b., and 17s 6d on trucks. The temporary firming was due to the demand that set in for the Wingatui’s shipment. The Waimarino left for the north last night, and the Waipahi is due to sail next Wednesday. Purchases are being made from farmers as they are wanted for each boat. Fowl feed is quiet, and is quoted at from 5s 2d to 5g 2Jd, f.o.b. No inquiry exists for oats and seeds.
