with success in England. The point was stressed very strongly that the New Zealand climate was eminently suitable for bulb culture for commercial purposes, and under proper methods there was no reason why New Zealand could not produce its own bulbs, as well as export large quantities to the world’s markets. On the motion of Mr Walter Blackburn, the lecturer was accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
