They were Hower-like frocks of soft cream satin with bodices moulded to the figure and tucked to the waist, and skirts fully flared at the sides and panelled down the front. Big soft bows with apple-green flowers in the centre adorned the back of the frocks, while apple-green shoes, long cream gloves, a string of French pearls, sheafs of cream narcissi and maidenhair fern, and hats of apple-green felt lifted from the face to show a row of tiny lemon flowers, completed the picture. They were followed by the bride, darkhaired and petite, who made a radiant figure in a gown of heavy cream satin with yoke and sleeves of Chantilly lace, and sprays of hand-made flowers finishing the deep Chantilly lace decolletage across the back, and the short train which swept behind her. Her veil, worn well back

from the face, was of Brussels laee. finished with a line of orange blossom buds at the back and a cluster of blossoms at one side. Messrs F. A. Bissett and C. Hormann were best man and groomsman respectively. After the ceremony the guests adjourned to the Wilford Tea Gardens, where they were received by the father and mother of the bride, the latter wearing an exquisite French ensemble of deep cornflower blue, with the frock having a flared skirt and a jumper effect of silver-grey Chantilly lace, and the coat trimmed with silver-grey fox fur, finished with a long cape at back. Her hat was of a deeper blue sisol straw with georgette swathing and a metal and diamante ornament. She carried a bouquet of narcissi and grape hyacinths. The bridegroom’s mother wore a black georgette frock with royal blue trimmings and a small black coat and hat to match, her bouquet, being of tawny chrysanthemums. The guests were relatives and close friends of the bride and bridegroom'.
