BRITISH WOMEN ATHLETES MAKE NEW WORLD RECORDS.
Astounding performances were accomplished at the ninth Women's Amateur Athletic Association’s championship meeting at Stamford Bridge, London, three world's records being made and others eclipsed. Our picture shows graceful Atalantas in the finish of the 100 Yards Championship final, won by Miss N. Halstead (Bury A.C.J in 11 2-5 seconds. Miss Halstead also won two other track events, the 440 Yards in 58 4-5 seconds a world's record and the 220 Yards.
