SUBMARINE NAUTILUS
NO WORD SINCE FRIDAY PROBABLY UNDER ICE CAP. — LONDON, August 24. No news has been received since Friday from Sir Hubert Wilkins, when he reported that there were snow squalls and fog. He described the submarine’s danger from drifting ice. The News-Chronicle suggests that the unusual silence .indicates that the Nautilus dived under the Polar ice cap, and is commencing the hazardous part of the voyage.
