UNITED CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH
CLOSING SERVICES. After being in use continually for over 51 years for public worship, the United Congregational Church building opposite the Museum ground was closed on Suu- 1 day. Special services to commcraiorate the day were held, and were largely attended both in the morning and in the evening. The Rev. James Al. Srneeth referred ■ in his addresses to the knowledge ■which had come to him during the one year of his ministry of the fine spirit that had permeated the church and the far-reach-ing effect of its influence as its past members had spread throughout the Dominion. He was convinced that the church would have a still greater in? fluence when it met in the new building which would be opened next week. Several of the deacons assisted at th® closing service, which was concluded witS •a social hour, for which all the congregaA tion remained.
