A story of the Prince of Wales, which recently went the rounds in London, was about a curious incident that occurred on the occasion of his last visit to Paris. He was sitting one night in a club with frtefia?”when there was a sudden disturbance. An apologetic head waiter appeared, excitably informing his guests that hig waiters had taken advantage of the presence of the Prince to demand a 30 per cent, increase above their normal wage. Distraught, he asked for volunteers to help serve the Prince. A score of people immediately rose from the tables to be warmly welcomed by the relieved head waiter. Among them, quietly unobtrusive, was the Prince himself!
