’ ELECTION OF OFFICERS MR F. P. WALSH PRESIDENT OF NATIONAL COUNCIL. WELLINGTON, August 3. The result of the annual national ballot of members of the Federated Seamen’s Union of New Zealand for the election of officers was announced by Mr H. E. Combs, returning officer, to-day. It was as follows:— Wellington.—President. Mr F. P. Walsh; vice-presidents, Messrs G. Godfrey and A. M’Natty: treasurer, Mr C. Martin (all unopposed); secretary, Messrs J. Jones 57jj, F. Newfield 974 (elected) ; assistant secretary—H. T. Pereira 200, W. E. Souter 270, J. L. Stark 339, M. Wall 727 (elected). Auckland.—President, Mr D. M’Lennan; vice-presidents, Messrs C. J. Smith and F. Trainor; treasurer. Mr N. Nilsen; secretary, Mr T. F. Anderson; assistant secretary, Mr H. Williams (all unopposed) . Dunedin.—President. Mr R. Todd; treasurer, Mr N. M’Gilvery: secretary, Mr W. Clarke (all unopposed). Lyttelton.—Agent, Messrs E. G. Clark 370, T. Martin 1182 (elected). The election for executive councillors resulted:— Wellington.—Messrs G. Godfrey 860, F. Miller 1165, T. Murphy 1063, F. P. Walsh 1307 (the last three were elected). Auckland.—Messrs T. F. Anderson 134 C (elected), D. M’Lennan 1266 (elected), C. G. Myers 892, C. J. Smith 1095 (elected). > Dunedin.—E. G. Clark 689. W. Clarke 1082 (elected), T. Martin 1097 (elected), J. 2k. Rodgers 437, J. L. Stark 491, M. Wall 706 (elected). The following are the national councillors of the Federated Seamen’s Union of New Zealand: —General president. Mr F. P. Walsh; vice-president, .Mr D. M’Lennafa; executive officer, Mr W.
