The first steps towards embarking upon a movement described by certain mem bers present as being of a “ revolutionary ” nature were taken by the Southland Presbytery at its monthly meeting the other day (says the Mataura Ensign) , when it was decided to appoint a commission exhaustively to investigate in the interests of the church and of its adherents, the wisdom or otherwise of effecting an amalgamation of the weaker charges wherever deemed necessary.
