RESULTS OF ANNUAL TOURNEY. CHRISTCHURCH, Angust 4. There were close contests in the annual tournament between the Christchurch and Dunedin-Training Colleges to-day. Christchurch won the swimming by 18 points to 16; the basket ball by 10 goals to 8; the lawn tennis by nine matches to three; the boxing by three bouts to two.
CHRISTCHURCH WINS SHIELD. CHRISTCHURCH, August 5. Although the tournament was robbed of much of its interest owing to Christchurch having won the shield on the first day’s events, Dunedin- regained some of itfe lost prestige to-day by winning the men’s hockey by three goals to nil and the football by six points to three. By winning the ladies’ hockey by four goals to one Christchurch won the tournament by five events to two.
