ALLEN. —On August 8, 1931, at Dunedin. Samuel John, dearly beloved husband of Eva May Allen, 19 Dick street, South Dunedin ; aged 59 years. R.I.P. ANDERSON.—On August 4, at Wanganui Hospital, Neil Fletcher, eldest son of the late James Anderson. Lovell’s Flat.

BRILEY.—On August 5, 1931, at Pembroke, Furness Irwin, beloved son of Robert H and Marjorie Briley, also loved nephew of the Misses A., I„ and S. Briley ; aged six years. “ Jesus said, ‘ Suffer little children to come unto Me.”

BYRNE.—On August 8, 1931, at her parents’ residence, 11 Hall street, South Dunedin, Margaret, dearly beloved infant daughter of James and Doris Byrne; aged 5 days. Deeply mourned. R.I.P. COLE.—On August 9, 1931. at Dunedin. Priscilla Agnes, relict of William Cole, of Clarendon street; aged 75 years. R.I.P. DONALDSON.—On August 7, 1931, at the residence of his daughter (Mrs Rogers), 32 Eden street, James, beloved husband of the late Jane Donaldson, late of Kaitangata ; in his seventy-fourth year. FORD.—On August 6, 1931 (suddenly), at his residence, 6 Pentland street. NorthEast Valley, Robert Grieve, dearly beloved husband of Alice Mary Ford ; aged 55 years. Deeply mourned. FRAZER. —On August 3, at Palmerston North, Henry Hunter Frazer, late of Taratu, Kaitangata. FRENCH. —On July 31, at her residence, Arawa street. Rotorua, Mary, widow of the late Thomas Robson French, and mother of Mrs Sloane, G. H, French, and Miss M. A. French, Rotorua; T. E. K. French, Murchison ; and J. W. French, Melbourne ; aged 90 years. Passed peacefully away.

Roslyn ; aged 68 years. “At rest." HAMILTON.—On August 2, 1931, at Owaka Hospital, Adam, beloved husband of the late Barbara Hamilton (late of Mosgiel).
