The annual “ at home ” of the Dunedin Returned Soldiers’ Association was held on Tuesday evening in the association’s clubrooms. There was an excellent attendance of members and visitors. The president (Mr J. S. Skinner and Mrs Skinner were host and hostess. Mr Skinner extended a welcome to the guests and referred to the work the association was doing, especially in regard to the annual Poppy Day effort, which had, in the past, provided funds which had been used to give work to many unemployed ex-servicemen. He explained that the resources of the club were at the disposal of the guests. Among the guests were the Mayor and Mayoress (Mr and Mrsß. S. Black). The evening was spent principally in dancing, which was held in the social hall. Cards were also provided for those who preferred that means of entertainment, and a ping-pong table was available in the committee room.'

Mr Viant, Assistant British Postmas-ter-general, states in a parliamentary paper that the gross revenue received from wireless licenses during the 12 months ended April 30 last was about £1,550,000, as compared with £1,370,000 in the previous year.
