Most people would be rather dubious if the statement were made that it is possible at this time of the year to have peas three feet high. and well out in flower (says the Wairarapa Times). Such, however, is the case in a Masterton garden. The peas were sown last May. and will be ready for picking by the end of nqxt month. Considering the severity of the weather that has bean experienced during the past winter, this should just about ■be a record for the Wairarapa.
