MILITARY FORCES.
TRANSFER OF OFFICERS. WELLINGTON, October 2. A Gazette notice to-night announces the following transfers of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces:— Lieutenant-colonel G. H. Gray, M.C.. Nelson-Marlborough and West Coast Regiment, relinquishes command of Ist Battalion, and is transferred to the reserve of officers. Major.'W. C. Harley, of the same regiment, is appointed to command the Ist Battalion, and granted the rank of lieu-tenant-colonel.
The period of command of Lieutenantcolonel R. G. Milligan, D. 5.0., Coast Artillery Group, Northern Command, ia extended to March 22, 1931.
