Humour is now almost an institution in New Zealand. Recent issues give a good idea of the witticisms of the world’s best writers and artists, while the two pages of world’s cartoons are also a very interesting feature.
There is an amusing cover on the latest issue of Aussie, an excellent indication of the wealth of humour within. Aussie is humorous, because humour is one of the characteristics of New Zealand and Australia, but Aussie is many other things as well. There are two pages of book reviews in each issue; one page of literary paragraphs, under the heading of “Spilt Ink”; two pages of stagcry, and several pages of contributions entirely for women.
