LABOUR DAY.
RAILWAY EXCURSION FARES. The Railway Department announces in our advertising columns that in connection with Labour Day celebrations they are issuing excursion fares which amount to the substantial reduction of about 6s in the £. The issue of these excursion tickets covers a period extending from October 24 to October 27 inclusive, and arrangements have been made by the Railway Department whereby seats or sleeping berths may be reserved at any time prior to date of travel. A rather advantageous concession to heads of families has been made by extending the excursion issue to enable father, mother, and all of the children under 16 years of age to travel by purchasing three adult fares. This latter concession extends to second class tickets only.
