HUTT VALLEY.
TRAIN AND BUS SERVICE. WELLINGTON, February 28. The Railways Depp--' ent is replacing ten of the present buses on the Hutt road with a new type. The department states that the number of passengers carried by its 41 buses during the past two mom hs was 199,934 aud 217,458 respectively, and it is expected that for the financial year the total will be 2,000,600. The co-operation of the rail and motor services in the Hutt Valley has effected a .saving of £5OOO per annum on the operation figures.
