Seventy big fish have been caught, the largest weighing 6061 b. “ I am securing motion pictures and photographs that will do New Zealand no end of good,” Mr Grey adds. A consignment of 50 white swans, to be forwarded to the New York Zoological Society, is temporarily housed at the Wellington Zoo (says the Dominion). The swans, of a large white species, are New Zealand birds, and they were captured at one of the lakes in the South Island. This large flock was of some interest to the public who visited the Zoo on Sunday last. The transhipment is to take place during the middle of this week.
