LIAISON OFFICER.

•INSPECTION OF DEFENCE FORCES. WELLINGTON, February 25.

Major Eady, who has been sent from the British War Office as a liaison officer with the General~Staff, arrived at Wellington by the Makura, and will proceed to the South Island on Wednesday. Ou March 1 he will inspect the First Battalion, Nelson, Marlborough, and West Coast Regiment, in camp, and next day the Nelson College Cadets. On March 7 he inspects the 3rd New Zealand Infantry Brigade in camp near Oamaru, and later Burnham camp and the Sockburn Aerodrome.

In the North Island he will go to the A.R.A. meeting at Trentham (March 12 to 15). He also intends to visit the 7th Battery in camp at Waipukurau, the 21st Battery in camp at Rotorua, the Waikato miltary camp, and Hobsonville Airdrome.

Before leaving for Vancouver he will attend the senior officers’ course at Waiwera, commencing April 4.
