The Lumsden School will celebrate its jubilee about the end of May, 1929, the functions extending over three days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (writes the Lumsden correspondent of the Mataura Ensign). It is intended to hold a monster gathering of ex-pupils, ex-teachers and ex-committeement.. The local branch of the ex-Pupils Association intends to run the celebrations tinder the '“ clan ” system, ex-pupils being registered Under the names of the vanj&us head teachers of the school. Any balance which the association may have in hand Vfll .be devoted largely towards the expense of compiling and publishing a souvenir booklet, which will contain the history of th* school and suitable illustrations.
