Replying to the suggestion of the Blenheim branch to the effect that all the branches in Marlborough should be amalgamated to form one big branch affiliated with headquarters at Wellington, the Dominion Executive of the Farmers’ Union has decided that Marlborough should maintain its provincial status in view of the marked increase in the mem-bership-(says the Marlborough Express). This decision was communicated to the Blenheim branch at its meeting yesterday afternoon, when further correspondence on the subject of organisation and the future of the union in this district was read.
